Dana Lieu, DVM

Dr. Dana Lieu believes that the bond between people and their animals is something truly special. Her approach to veterinary medicine centers on helping pets live long, healthy, happy lives while building lasting relationships with the families who love them.

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Dr. Lieu earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2015. Her diverse career has taken her from busy urban hospitals to small rural communities, with experience in small animal, large animal, and shelter medicine. She brings that broad perspective and a thoughtful, capable approach to caring for her patients at Habitat.

Dr. Lieu has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry, but one of her favorite parts of veterinary medicine is developing relationships with her patients and their people. She especially loves when her patients recognize her during visits, reflecting the trust and familiarity that make veterinary care a little less stressful for everyone involved.

Outside of the hospital, Dana enjoys traveling, especially anywhere near the ocean, along with hiking, camping, Pilates, and discovering new restaurants. She loves spending time with her family and her three four-legged companions: Johnny, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; Rogan, an Irish Setter; and Nacho, a delightfully chubby orange cat.
