Jaqui began her career as a kennel technician before working her way into patient care as a technician. Along the way, she’s gained experience in everything from emergency medicine to small, family-centered veterinary practices, learning from skilled veterinarians and technicians who helped shape her passion for the profession.
Originally from San Diego, California, Jaqui moved to Idaho at age 11 and has called the Treasure Valley home ever since. Her love for animals has always been at the heart of her career, and she believes every patient deserves the same compassion, comfort, and quality of care she would want for her own pets. She’s especially proud of her experience working with nonprofit organizations to help provide veterinary care for pets belonging to families facing financial hardship.
As both a Veterinary Technician and Habitat’s Leadership Integration Advocate, Jaqui splits her time between our Boise and Ketchum hospitals. In addition to providing hands-on patient care, she helps strengthen communication, support teammates, and bring consistency to the culture and values that make Habitat special. Her work helps ensure that no matter which Habitat you visit, you’ll find the same commitment to compassionate care and genuine connection.
Outside of work, Jaqui enjoys exploring new coffee shops, spending time with family and friends, and indulging in true crime documentaries and the occasional terrible reality TV show. But the undisputed center of her universe is Butters, her big-eared, stubborn French Bulldog, beloved sidekick, and self-appointed ruler of her entire world.
